Natalie B. Wong

​

A director, performance maker, co-founder of Orang Collectif and production-stage manager of Singapore-Chinese heritage based in London. 

​

Natalie was the first resident assistant director at the Singapore Repertory Theatre where she was mentored by international directors such as the late Braham Murray, Bruce Guthrie, Scott Graham and Kate Golledge.

 

She enjoys working with youths and her experience spans performing and assistant directing children’s theatre; directing youth theatre and teaching theatre. She has worked extensively with youths of special needs and at-risk communities. She designed and led the theatre programme for The Little Arts Academy, Singapore from 2009-2013.

Her recent directing credits include Children of God by Jimin Suh (A short play adapted for film for New Stories online festival of new BE/SEA writings), The Tree of Objects (CAN Fest ’20), and Chapters of a Floating Life by Clarence Coo (Yellow Earth’s Typhoon'19). 

 

With the Orang Collectif, Natalie has co-produced The Sane Asylum and The Giving (A promenade evening of Live Performances). And she directs and performs in their ongoing project, AN:ODYSSEY (9-vignette performance exploring themes of Home, Borders and Identity).

Natalie is currently working on her first solo performance, Pipi (a drag show exploring femininity, gender and racial politics in the context of London).

 

As production and stage manager, Natalie works regularly with Split Britches; Chinese Arts Now; New Earth Theatre and Steakhouse Live.
She recently worked on Selina Thompson’s SALT (Public Theatre’s UTR2020).

 

Natalie holds an MA in Performance Making (Dist) from Goldsmiths College, London.

Arthur Astier  
A French autodidact composer-musician, he extensively explores different styles of expression such as performance installations, theatre, post hardcore, immersive performance and film.

 

Arthur has worked alongside international artists such as Christian Boltanski, Frank Krawczyk and Peter Brook. In recent years Arthur composed for Singapore Repertory Theatre and devised with Masters students from Goldsmiths. He composed and performed in Digital Umbilical, London winner of Dansathon 2018, A dance project that aims to humanise technology. In 2019 he created with Natalie Wong The Tree Of Object, a children theatre production about recycling and preserving the environment.

He is currently a part of Andalou-dog, a surrealist electro-rock music project, AURIC (Songs From A Golden Age) a gig theatre show based on texts from the Spanish Golden Age that merges spoken-word and experimental music.
Arthur Astier is the co-founder of The Orang Collectif, who create and produce multi-disciplinary performances.

Fausta Joly

A London based writer performer and the founder of arts events company Joly Licks. They curate workshops and showcases, sharing the ethos that creativity is a guarantee of sanity. Their work has a poet has landed them commissions for international work including the opening performance of Berlin Festival https://48-stunden-neukoelln.de/en and her collaboration with filmmaker Cristina Vila Nadal - Glitter Gutter will be appearing as part of the ZEBRA poetry film festival. With over 30 events both in venues and online under her belt, Joly Licks is growing and we can’t believe to create more projects with the incredible Orang Collectif. Fxx

Nur khairiyah bte Ramli

Khai is a Singapore-Malay creative producer who holds an MA in Creative Producing from Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. She was previously mentored by Isobel Hawson and assisted in the tour of Mashi’s Theatre Stripey Honey... Is very yummy. 

Khai also runs a platform called RUMAH which champions creatives from the other Asian diasporas. Khai was recently the associate producer for Moongate productions’ #WeRNotVirus and recently produced RUMAH FEST (An online festival supported by Arts Council England and Rich Mix).

Mona Camille

is a designer with a background in stage design and architecture. Born in Seychelles and later educated in Germany, Mona works with her multicultural and multidisciplinary background to create spatial experiences. She holds a BA in Architecture and a Master's degree in Spatial Performance & Design. She has worked for the Semper Opera and Theatre of Dresden, Chaix & Morel Architecture Firm in Paris, and now freelances across Germany, France, and the U.K. Mona designed her first sets for theatre in 2015 and was recently assistant designer to Moi Tran for Summer Rolls, a play that performed at the Park Theatre London in June 2019. She co-created the installation 36Q Blue Hour showing at the 2019 Prague Quadrennial. Mona is also a tutor and event producer at the Interprofessional Studio postgraduate program of the Architectural Association in London.

Holly Rush 
After her training in Contemporary Dance at Trinity Laban, Holly has taken on various theater professions. Starting with choreography for her own work that saw her become a movement director for NYT. 

She has developed work interlinking her interest of working with actors and spoken word by working with her brother, a writer and poet, and has taken her work to diverse spaces, from stages to festivals and to night clubs. Now she has become obsessed with her interest in clowning and is now focusing her solo, My Crocodiles. 

Holly's interest are in multi disciplinary projects with unconventional ideas. She has worked with people such as Anton Mirto and Cao Cao Cong who have enriched her curiosity in experimental theater and has seen her perform internationally. Holly carriers on her journey with innovating theater and is very grateful to be an artist working with Orang Collectif.
